1. Electrocardiography (ECG)

Students learn to perform ECG procedures, which involve placing electrodes on the patient's chest, limbs, or torso to record the electrical activity of the heart. They acquire skills in operating ECG machines, obtaining high-quality tracings, and recognizing normal an abnormal ECG patterns.

2. Stress Testing Techniques

Training is provided in conducting stress tests to assess the heart's response to physical exertion or pharmacological stress. Students learn to monitor patients during stress tests, interpret test results, and recognize signs of cardiac ischemia or arrhythmias.

3. Holter Monitoring

Students are trained in the application and analysis of Holter monitors, which record continuous ECG data over a period of 24 hours or longer. They learn to prepare patients for Holter monitoring, apply electrodes, download data, and interpret Holter reports to identify cardiac abnormalities.

4. Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology

Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system is fundamental. Students learn about the structure and function of the heart, blood vessels, and circulation, as well as the pathophysiology of common cardiac disorders.

5. Pharmacology

Knowledge of cardiac medications is essential for cardiac technicians. Students learn about the pharmacological management of cardiac conditions, including the indications, mechanisms of action, dosages, and potential side effects of medications used in cardiology.

6. Patient Care and Communication

Skills in patient care and communication are emphasized throughout the course. Students learn to interact effectively with patients, provide emotional support, obtain medical histories, and explain procedures in a clear and compassionate manner.

7. Equipment Operation and Maintenance
